What documents do I need to travel to Uganda?
  • international passport that is still valid for at least 6 months after your trip.
  • A visa, which you can apply for here, but we will definitely send you an email with all the relevant information after booking.
  • A Yellow Fever vaccination certificate
  • A national or international driving license.
What vaccinations do I need for my trip to Uganda?

Before your trip to Uganda, it's important to have the right vaccinations. It is mandatory for all travelers to be vaccinated against Yellow Fever. Additionally, it's recommended to get the Hepatitis A vaccination  and an extra polio vaccination.

Other vaccinations may be recommended by your doctor, depending on your medical history. So make sure to schedule a travel consultation with your doctor in advance.

Can I customize the trip to my liking?

We offer a fully planned road trip, so it's not possible to adjust the duration and itinerary of the trip. Of course, you're free to extend your journey on your own by staying a few extra days in Uganda afterwards or by traveling to another country.

Can I still cancel my trip?

You can always cancel your road trip. Here you can already find the terms. Additionally, you can also rely on the Superflex cancellation policy until December 1, 2024 (for the spring edition in 2025). More info under the FAQ 'What are the Superflex cancellation policies?'

What about insurance?

Travel Insurance € 59
We offer the option to take out travel insurance through WeAdventures. You can find all the information about our travel insurance here. If you already have travel insurance, it's best to check if it also covers you in Uganda.

Cancellation Insurance € 89
We recommend that everyone opts for cancellation insurance when registering. Plans can change, and sometimes you may have to cancel a trip. You can check our flexible cancellation conditions here.

Is there on-site support?

Upon your arrival in Uganda, you'll be warmly welcomed by our local partners. They will greet you and provide a brief explanation before you start your road trip.

During your road trip, you can find all sorts of useful information in our app. Additionally, just before your departure, you'll receive an invitation to join a WhatsApp group with all the participants leaving on the same date. In that group, you can communicate with each other, and there will always be someone from the team available in case of an emergency.

What's in the roadbook?

Our roadbook contains all the information you need for a successful road trip in Uganda.

On one hand, it includes the complete route. We’ll take you to well-known and lesser-known spots that you won't find in big travel guides. The stops along the way are suggestive: you can choose where and how long to stop to visit something.

Additionally, our roadbook also features various cool places where you can grab something to eat or drink.

What are the extra costs?
  • Fuel: approximately €350 per car for the entire road trip.
  • Food and drinks (more info in the food and drinks section).
  • Access to national parks: $12 per person per day and $45 per vehicle per day. For example, for a two-night stay in Murchison Falls National Park with two people in one vehicle, the cost would be $114.
Is the car manual or automatic?

During this road trip, we primarily provide a 4×4 with automatic transmission, as long as availability allows. If these are no longer available, you'll receive a manual car, perfectly suited for the adventure that awaits you.

How does the payment process work?

Within 10 days of your registration, you will need to pay a deposit of 35% to confirm your road trip. After that, you have up to 45 days before departure to make changes to your options and pay the remaining amount. If you make any changes, the deposit will be automatically recalculated.

Additionally, shortly before departure, you will also need to pay a security deposit if you haven't taken out damage waiver coverage for your car.

There are various payment options available. Did your payment fail? Then there may have been an error when entering the reference number or you may have exceeded your account limit.

What are the Superflex cancellation terms?

These terms are available for anyone who books early. You can use them to move your road trip to a different period within the same season (subject to availability) or cancel free of charge before 01/06/2025.
