Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you'll be greeted by our shuttle that will take you to your accommodation. Since you're arriving so late, you'll check into your room just after midnight.

Our road trip starts in Entebbe, a city with a rich history. Visit the botanical gardens or take a canoe to search for the rare shoebill stork in Mabamba Swamp. Did you know that Entebbe was once the capital of the country?

From this green city, we’ll drive towards Lake Mburo National Park, where we'll have our first safari. Here, you’ll already have a chance to spot animals from your bucket list – maybe you'll even manage to check off one of the Big Five!

The drive takes us along the Kampala-Mbarara highway, one of the main traffic arteries of the country, where you'll experience the ever-changing landscapes of Uganda along the way.

From Lake Mburo National Park, we continue on to Lake Bunyonyi, one of the most beautiful and deepest lakes in Africa. Along the way, the landscape transforms from savanna to hilly terraces, typical of southwestern Uganda.

Lake Bunyonyi, which means 'place of the small birds,' is known for its serene atmosphere, crystal-clear water, and the many small islands that adorn the lake. Here, you can completely unwind, take a boat trip, or enjoy the breathtaking views over the lake and the surrounding hills.

A rest day is more than welcome at Lake Bunyonyi, where you can fully enjoy all the options available. Let the impressions of the past few days sink in, go paddleboarding on the lake, take a <strong refreshing dip, or seek some adventure – it's all possible!

After a relaxing morning at Lake Bunyonyi, you’ll drive towards the dense jungle of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The route takes you along challenging roads past picturesque villages and green hills, until you reach the edge of the impenetrable forest.

Here, you step into a completely different world, where misty mountain forests and lush nature dominate the landscape. Your adventure in Bwindi begins as you prepare for one of the absolute highlights of the trip the following morning: the encounter with the mountain gorillas.

One of the most impressive experiences in Uganda awaits you in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest: a meeting with the rare mountain gorillas. The day starts early with a briefing from the Uganda Wildlife Authority, where you'll get an overview of the rules and the tracking process. After that, you'll venture into the dense jungle with experienced guides, searching for one of the gorilla families that live in this vast forest.

The trek can take several hours and requires a reasonable level of fitness, as the terrain can sometimes be steep and muddy. Once you arrive at the gorillas, you'll have time to observe their behavior and take photos. This unique moment, so close to these magnificent animals in their natural habitat, is a definite highlight of your trip.

Prefer a more laid-back day? Then you can relax at the lodge and enjoy the beautiful nature surrounding Bwindi.

Long driving day towards the Ishasha Southern Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, where we have the chance to spot topis, oribis, buffaloes, and elephants. And hopefully tree-climbing lions.

Make a stop in a charming village for a lunch on the go, and enjoy the beautiful views along the way.

You’ll spend the night in Queen Elizabeth National Park on the shores of the Kazinga Channel. You can also opt to go in search of the Big Five in the park in the evening.

In the morning, you can go on a safari, hopefully with a new chance to spot some of the Big 5.

After lunch at the lodge and some time to recharge, you'll head to the Kazinga Channel. On board a boat, you'll cruise along the shores to see hippos up close, spot pink pelicans, and admire various other bird species.

A full day where you'll have plenty of opportunities to experience the rich wildlife up close!

After a final morning in Queen Elizabeth National Park, you head towards Kibale National Park, the best place in Uganda to spot chimpanzees in the wild. The drive takes you through a varied landscape of savannas, hills, and tea plantations, until you reach the lush rainforests of Kibale.

In the afternoon, the Chimpanzee Trek begins, offering a unique chance to observe these intelligent primates in their natural habitat. Accompanied by an experienced guide, you’ll venture into the forest in search of one of the many chimpanzee families that call this place home. As you walk through the thick greenery, you can already hear their calls in the distance. Once found, you'll have the time to closely watch their social interactions and playful behavior.

In addition to chimpanzees, Kibale is home to numerous other monkey species, colorful birds, and unique plants, making this trek an unforgettable experience for nature lovers.

Today we have a long journey ahead as we head northwest along the Albertine Escarpment of the Great Western Rift Valley. We'll drive through the colorful Fort Portal, the vibrant capital of the Toro kingdom.

Fort Portal is beautifully situated in the shadow of the legendary Rwenzori, also known as the "Mountains of the Moon." We’ll continue on, passing Hoima and entering Murchison Falls National Park through the West gate.

The last stop of the day is at the top of the waterfalls, where you can admire the impressive power of the Nile. Here, the river squeezes through a narrow gorge of just 6 meters before the water thunders down 40 meters.

In the evening, you can unwind with a drink and a refreshing dip to wrap up the day.

We start the day with an exciting morning safari in search of African wildlife, including the iconic ‘Big 5’: elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo, and much more.

In the afternoon, you can take a boat trip to the foot of the impressive Murchison Falls. This journey along the Nile is often the highlight of your visit to Murchison, offering a unique chance to admire wildlife up close.

During the cruise, you'll spot hippos, buffalo, elephants, and a colorful variety of birds along the riverbanks. With a bit of luck, you might even see the rare shoebill stork!

We're traveling back towards the capital, passing through the famous Luwero Triangle and the city of Masindi, on our way to Jinja.

On the way, you can make a stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where you can search for the white rhino.

After that, we'll embark on a long drive towards Jinja, the place where the Nile flows into Lake Victoria.

Start your day with a delicious breakfast and then travel to Jinja, the adventurous city on the banks of the mighty Nile.

For adrenaline junkies, there are plenty of options: go white-water rafting, take an exciting bungee jump, glide over the river while tubing, or enjoy a relaxing boat ride.

On this last day, we head towards Kampala, the vibrant capital of Uganda.

Kampala is also known as "the city of seven hills." Once built on seven hills, like the historic Kasubi Hill, where you'll find the impressive Kasubi Royal Tombs, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the resting place of the kings of the Buganda kingdom. The city has now expanded far beyond these hills, but its rich history still gives Kampala its unique charm.

After an amazing trip, where you hopefully spotted the Big 5, enjoyed breathtaking nature, and had relaxing days, you'll land back in Brussels early in the morning.
