Ready for an unforgettable adventure?

In the Summer of 2026, you can travel to Uganda on Saturdays between May 2nd and September 19th.

During the Winter of 2026 -2027, you can travel to Uganda on Saturdays between December 5th and January 30th.

What’s included?

You can book your African adventure from €1,350 per person (excluding flights). This price is based on two people per vehicle.

The following is included:

  • A fully equipped 4×4 vehicle
  • Overnight stays in unique locations

  • Boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel
  • Boat cruise in Murchison Falls National Park
  • Access to an exclusive app with practical information and an interactive map
  • A detailed roadbook with the full route, explanations of all highlights, and useful tips & tricks

Can be done with your own vehicle (see entrance fees below):

  • Safari in Lake Mburo National Park
  • Safari in Murchison Falls National Park
  • Safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park

If you choose a vehicle with a rooftop tent, the following is also included:

  • Sleeping equipment
  • Double mattress, sleeping bags, and pillows
  • Camping equipment
  • Camping table, stools, cooler box, table lamp, shovel, and a jerrycan for water
  • Cooking equipment
  • Cooking pot, pan, gas stove, plates, and cups

To be paid on the spot:

  • Lunch and dinner*: on average €20–25 per person per day
  • Snacks, alcoholic drinks, souvenirs, fuel
  • Tips for guides and local communities
  • Entrance fees for sights and museums
  • National Park entrance fees (approx. $50–55 per person per day)

If you prefer to do certain safaris with a guide, this can be arranged at the park entrance. For around $20 per day, a guide will join you and take you to the most beautiful spots and the best places to spot wildlife.

* When choosing the lodge option, breakfast is included in the price.

Bigger car or more then 4?

Traveling with a larger group or looking for extra space and comfort?

You have the option to upgrade to a larger 4×4 safari vehicle for a total additional cost of €1,770*. With this upgrade, you’ll enjoy:

  • Seats for up to 7 travelers
  • A window seat for everyone
  • A driver who can also share plenty of insights about the country
  • A pop-up roof for the ultimate safari experience

For example, if you’re traveling with 6 people, the total cost per person would be the base price (€1,350) + €295 (€1,770 ÷ 6) = €1,645 per person, including the driver.

Insurances

Damage Waiver

Accidents can happen, so we recommend adding a damage waiver to your booking. This insurance costs €10 per day per vehicle. By selecting this option, you won’t need to pay a security deposit.

If you choose not to take the collision damage waiver, a deposit of €750 is required before departure.

Travel Insurance

Travel with peace of mind by taking out personal travel assistance insurance, covering unexpected events during your trip.

Cancellation Insurance

Worried that unforeseen circumstances might affect your travel plans? You can add cancellation insurance to protect your booking in case your trip needs to be canceled.

Food & drinks

During your road trip through Uganda, you’ll have a variety of culinary options every afternoon and evening, tailored to your preferences and budget. Our accommodations offer diverse choices at reasonable prices, with fresh ingredients and a mix of local and international cuisine.

Dining out: Discover the flavors of Uganda in cozy restaurants and lodges. The roadbook includes carefully selected dining spots where you can enjoy both traditional and international dishes.

Authentic local experience: On the first day of your trip, we offer a unique culinary experience, giving you the chance to taste typical Ugandan delicacies and experience the local food culture up close.

Cooking for yourself (with a rooftop tent): If you’ve chosen the rooftop tent option, your 4×4 comes equipped with cooking gear so you can prepare your own meals on the road. The roadbook and app include recommendations for supermarkets where you can pick up local or international ingredients.

Breakfast included: When you choose the lodge option, breakfast is included in the price.

What to expect:

How do I get to Uganda?

Your journey begins and ends at Entebbe Airport. There are several options for getting to Uganda: you can either book your flights through us or arrange your own.

Please note: for certain departure dates, flights may no longer be available through us. In that case, you will need to book your tickets independently.

Book your flights through Uganda Nomads

You can book your flights with Uganda Nomads from €550 departing from Brussels (Zaventem).

Note: When you book your flights with us, you’ll fly with Brussels Airlines and make a short stop of about 1 hour in Kigali, Rwanda on the way to Uganda. You remain on the plane during this stop.

These times are subject to change. If the schedule changes, we will notify you by email. Please make sure to provide your name exactly as it appears on your passport when booking to avoid any issues at the airport.

Book your own flights

If you plan to book your own flights, please note that most flights arrive late in the evening at Entebbe.

You will need to make your own way to your first accommodation, which is located a short distance from the airport.

On the second day of your road trip (Sunday), the car can be picked up from 10:00 AM. On the last day (Saturday), the car must be returned before 7:00 PM.

our first overnight stay is in Entebbe, just a short distance from the airport.

There are two ways to get to your hotel:

Uganda Nomads shuttle
If you booked your flights through us, a shuttle to the hotel is included.

Taxi
If you booked your own flights, you can take a taxi to your first hotel.

Where do I pick up the car?

On the second day of your road trip (Sunday), you will receive the keys to your car.

On the last day (Saturday), you must return the car in Entebbe, after which our shuttle will take you to the airport.

What documents do I need to travel to Uganda?
  • An international passport valid for at least 6 months after your trip.
  • A visa, which you can apply for here. After booking, we will also send you an email with all the relevant information.
  • Proof of yellow fever vaccination.
  • A national or international driver’s license
What vaccinations do I need for my trip to Uganda?

Before your trip to Uganda, it’s important to have the right vaccinations. Yellow fever vaccination is mandatory for all travelers. In addition, Hepatitis A and an extra polio vaccination are recommended.

Other vaccinations may be advised by your doctor depending on your medical history. Be sure to schedule a travel consultation with your physician well in advance.

Can I customize the trip to my own preferences?

We offer a fully planned road trip, so it is not possible to adjust the duration or schedule of the trip. Of course, you are free to extend your journey on your own, for example, by spending a few extra days in Uganda or continuing your travels to another country.

Can I still cancel my trip?

t is always possible to cancel your road trip. You can find the terms and conditions here. What about insurances?

Want to travel with peace of mind? Take out a personal travel assistance insurance. If you already have travel insurance, it’s a good idea to check whether it also covers you in Uganda.

Cancellation Insurance €89
We recommend that everyone opts for cancellation insurance when signing up. Plans can change, and sometimes a trip may need to be canceled unexpectedly. You can review our flexible cancellation terms here.

Is there support on-site?

Upon your arrival in Uganda, you will be warmly welcomed by our local partners. They will greet you and give you a brief introduction before you start your road trip.

During your road trip, you can access all sorts of useful information through our app. Additionally, just before your departure, you will receive an invitation to join a WhatsApp group with all participants leaving on the same date. In this group, you can communicate with each other, and a team member will always be available in case of emergencies.

What’s in the roadbook?

Our roadbook contains all the information you need for a successful road trip in Uganda.

On one hand, it includes the complete route. We guide you to both well-known and lesser-known places that you won’t find in major travel guides. The suggested stops along the way are just that—suggestions: you can decide for yourself where and how long to stop at each location.

In addition, our roadbook also features a variety of fun spots where you can grab something to eat or drink.

What are the extra costs?
  • Fuel: approximately €500 per car for the entire road trip.
  • Food and drinks: see more details under the Food & Drinks section.
  • National park fees: $12 per car per day and $45 per person per day.
    For example, a two-night stay in Murchison Falls National Park with two people in one vehicle would cost $204.
Is the car have a manual or automatic?

On this road trip, we primarily provide a **4×4 with automatic transmission**, as long as availability allows. If none are available, you will receive a **manual car**, perfectly suited for the adventure that awaits you.

How does the payment process work?

Within 10 days of registering, you will need to pay a 35% deposit to confirm your road trip. After that, you have until 45 days before departure to make changes to your options and pay the remaining balance. If you make any changes, the deposit will be automatically recalculated.

In addition, shortly before departure, you will need to pay a security deposit if you have not opted for insurance coverage for your car.

There are various payment options available. If your payment fails, it is likely due to a mistake in entering the reference number or exceeding your account limit.

What are Superflex conditions?

These conditions are available to anyone who books early. You can reschedule your road trip to another date within the same season (subject to availability) or cancel free of charge before April 1st for the winter season and December 1st for the Summer season.
