Here’s an overview of your 15-day road trip through Uganda. This itinerary will take you to the most beautiful spots in the country. The overnight stays are already set, but during the day, you’ll choose the sites to visit and how much time you’ll spend there.

Travel with a private driver guide at an additional costs of €630 per car. Our local drivers are also experienced tour guides and bush mechanics. They know the area inside out, ensuring a safe and smooth trip while sharing local insights, making spontaneous stops, and adding those extra touches that make your journey truly special.
*If you choose to travel with a driver, it is not necessary to add the damage waiver to your booking.
Are you travelling with a big group (max 7 pax) or do you prefer to have more space and an extra large pop-up roof? Upgrade to an extended Land Cruiser with pop-up roof. This will give you the ultimate “Grand Safari” experience!
This vehicle is only bookable in combination with lodges and automatically comes with a driver. Sit back and relax while an expert navigates the terrain and spots the wildlife for you.

*Our booking conditions are valid for trips running from May 2027. For trips running from December 2026 – February 2027, you can choose to add a cancellation insurance instead.
If you are traveling with more than 2 people in one car, you will receive a discount:
If the date of your gorilla trekking is in May, you will receive a discount of €200 per person.
*While National Park visits are part of the itinerary, entry (for some) is optional. Entrance fees can be paid on site by card. If you want access to all national parks, expect extra costs of about $234 per person.
Passport: an international passport valid for at least 6 months after your travel date.
Visa: to visit Uganda, you will need to apply for a visa. You can apply online at the official website. You will receive more information via email a month before departure.
Driver’s license: your European driver’s license is valid in Uganda. An international license is not mandatory. You must carry your physical card at all times while driving: digital copies or photos on your phone are not accepted during road checks.
Vaccinations
For your trip to Uganda, it is important to have the right vaccinations. A yellow fever vaccination is mandatory for all travelers. In addition, Hepatitis A and an additional polio vaccination are recommended. Other vaccinations may be advised by your doctor depending on your medical history.
Malaria precaution
Uganda is also considered a risk area for malaria. Therefore, it is recommended to use malaria prophylaxis in addition to good mosquito protection, such as DEET and long-sleeves.
Regarding vaccinations and malaria preventive medication, we recommend visiting a travel health clinic or doctor for personalized advice; they will select the medication that best suits you.

A boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel is one of the absolute highlights of a visit to Queen Elizabeth National Park. During this community tour, you’ll explore a village near Bwindi and gain a unique insight into local life. You’ll visit the village school, which is funded and run by the community, giving you the chance to directly support education and see how it shapes the children’s future.
You’ll also meet the Batwa, the original inhabitants of Bwindi, and hear their stories, learn about their rich culture, traditions, and history, and gain a deeper understanding of their way of life. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to meet local women who create stunning, handcrafted baskets, providing a glimpse into their skills and daily routines.

Before your trip to Uganda, it’s important to have the right vaccinations. Yellow fever vaccination is mandatory for all travelers. In addition, Hepatitis A and an extra polio vaccination are recommended.

We offer a fully planned road trip, so it is not possible to adjust the duration or schedule of the trip. Of course, you are free to extend your journey on your own, for example, by spending a few extra days in Uganda or continuing your travels to another country.

Upon your arrival in Uganda, you will be warmly welcomed by our local partners. They will greet you and give you a brief introduction before you start your road trip.
During your road trip, you can access all sorts of useful information through our app. Additionally, just before your departure, you can join the chatgroup (via the app) with all participants leaving on the same date. In this group, you can communicate with each other, and a team member will be available in case of emergencies.
Our roadbook contains all the information you need for a successful road trip in Uganda.
On one hand, it includes the complete route. We guide you to both well-known and lesser-known places that you won’t find in major travel guides. The suggested stops along the way are just that-suggestions: you can decide for yourself where and how long to stop at each location.
In addition, our roadbook also features a variety of fun spots where you can grab something to eat or drink.
Within 10 days of registering, you will need to pay a 35% deposit to confirm your road trip. After that, you have until 45 days before departure to make changes to your options and pay the remaining balance. If you make any changes, the deposit will be automatically recalculated.
In addition, shortly before departure, you will need to pay a security deposit if you have not opted for insurance coverage for your car.
There are various payment options available. If your payment fails, it is likely due to a mistake in entering the reference number or exceeding your account limit.
These conditions are available to anyone who books early. You can reschedule your road trip to another date within the same season (subject to availability) or cancel free of charge before April 1st for the winter season and December 1st for the Summer season.

The planet gives us so much beauty to admire, but if we want to be able to do that in the future, we must protect it today. Lodge to lodge
Breakfast is always included when you choose to stay in lodges. Apart from that, each lodge is facilitated with a restaurant on-site such that you do not have to drive in the dark. The lodges generally serve a variety of meal, including vegetarian options.
Rooftop tent
If you choose to travel with a rooftop tent, breakfast is not included. Each camping spot is facilitated with a restaurant on-site and you will have cooking equipment to prepare your own meals. Please note: the coolbox provided is not actively cooled.
